Dwyane Wade defends son's look amid 'stupidity' in comments on family photoSporting News — (Jordan Heck)
Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade recently shared on Instagram a family photo featuring their son, Zion, and daughter, Kaavia.
Unfortunately, the comment section displayed people bullying Zion about his appearance in the photo. Most of the comments featured criticisms about Zion's nails and crop top.
Union posted the photo on Thanksgiving, and in the days that followed, people continued to comment. This led to Wade posting a statement a few days later regarding the "hate" he and his family had received as a result of the photo.
This isn't the first time Zion has been the subject of drama on social media for the Wade family. Dwyane Wade posted a photo with Zion and Kaavia in October with the caption, "my girls." Wade eventually took the post down after several derogatory comments.
Union responded to the criticism by quote-tweeting the photo with the caption, "Looks like love to me. I truly hope that everyone gets the love, support and hugs they deserve."
Union supported Zion in April by attending the Miami Pride Festival with him. Dwyane was unable to attend because of his schedule but posted to Instagram, "Zion had his (own) cheering section today. Wish I was there to see you smile kid!"
